Collection & Recycling Arrangements for Revvity Customers in Ireland
Under SI 355/2011 Waste Management (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment [WEEE]) Regulations published on 12 July 2011, for equipment that you buy from Revvity after August 13th 2005, Revvity is required to finance the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of WEEE that your new purchase replaces, on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis.
Under the Regulations, Revvity is also required to finance the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of any new electrical and electronic equipment that you buy from Revvity after August 13th 2005, when that new equipment eventually becomes waste. This is referred to as New WEEE.
Producers are required to register with the WEEE Register Society Ltd (www.weeeregister.ie), an independent body to be set up by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, established on 13 July.
