The LANCE® Ultra c-Myc Detection Kit is designed for detection and quantitation of c-Myc peptide tag in buffered solution and cell culture media using a homogeneous TR-FRET (no-wash steps, no separation steps) assay.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. All products to be used in accordance with applicable laws and regulations including without limitation, consumption & disposal requirements under European REACH regulations (EC 1907/2006).
The LANCE Ultra c-Myc Detection Kit is designed for detection and quantitation of c-Myc peptide tag in buffered solution and cell culture media using a homogeneous TR-FRET (no-wash steps, no separation steps) assay.
LANCE and LANCE (Lanthanide chelate excite) Ultra are our TR-FRET (time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer), homogeneous (no wash) technologies. One antibody of interest is labeled with an acceptor fluorophore [ULight™ dye]. A “tracer” analyte is biotinylated and binds Streptavidin labeled with donor Eu-chelate. Upon excitation at 320 or 340 nm, energy can be transferred from the donor Europium chelate to the acceptor fluorophore if sufficiently close for FRET (~10 nm). This results in the emission of light at 665 nm. In the presence of sufficient non-biotinylated analyte this emission will be diminished.
The c-myc polypeptide tag is derived from the c-myc gene. The tag can be used during affinity chromatography and to separate wild-type protein from recombinant protein. The c-myc tag can be used in indirect detection assays for which there is no antibody for the target.
