Ultrasonic homogenizers for cell lysis

Ultrasonic homogenizers, commonly referred to as sonicators, are often used for cell disruption and cell lysis of laboratory samples that may not need grinding or rotor-stator cutting techniques for processing. Popular applications for a probe sonicator, alone or in combination with chemical lysis methods, include cell or bacterial cultures that may be easy to lyse. Probe sonicators are also typically used for emulsifications or dispersing nanoparticles. Together with our ultrasonic probes made of chemical resistant solid titanium, our lab sonicators help process a range of sample volumes using a single device with switchable probes to streamline cell lysis and other workflows.

Our range of ultrasonic homogenizers (lab sonicators):

  • OM50 sonicator (50 watt) is a cost-effective, compact ultrasonic processing unit for standard applications and includes a thumb switch.
  • OM100 sonicator (100 watt) is a programmable, small-scale, ultrasonic processor with pulse mode, timer, amplitude control, and digital display of wattage and joules to support a range of applications.
  • OM500 sonicator (500 watt) is our most comprehensive unit featuring the most power to support the widest range of applications and programming operation within our offering.

Our range of probe sonicators offer much utility as your lab’s first sonicator or when adding to your existing fleet. You can also consider a bead mill homogenizer to increase efficiency of your tissue prep into your probe sonicator workflow. Alleviate bottlenecks and save by bundling your lab sonicator with our bead mills.
