Overview

DELFIA Neonatal hTSH kits are intended for the quantitative determination of human thyroid stimulating hormone (hTSH) in blood specimens dried on filter paper as an aid in screening newborns for congenital hypothyroidism. The solid-phase, two-site fluoroimmunometric assay is based on the direct sandwich technique in which two monoclonal antibodies are directed against two
separate antigenic determinants on the hTSH molecule. The
analytical sensitivity of the assays is typically better than 2
µU/mL blood (4.4 µU/mL serum).
