Cell painting is a phenotypic high-content imaging approach that combines multiplexed fluorescent staining, automated microscopy, and image analysis to characterize cellular responses to perturbagens such as compounds, drugs, or genes.

The PhenoVue Cell Painting Target Add-on Kit (anti-mouse 400 LS) extends cell painting workflows by enabling integration of a user-selected mouse primary antibody into a multiparametric phenotypic profiling assay. The selected primary antibody is detected using the PhenoVue Fluor 400LS goat anti-mouse secondary antibody, adding a target-specific imaging layer alongside core Cell Painting markers in the same well and imaging experiment.

The kit is useful when users want to enrich cell painting assays with a protein marker relevant to their biological question, such as a transcription factor, signaling protein, lineage marker, or disease-associated target. Compared with the PhenoVue Cell Painting Kits, this kit uses a staining configuration adapted for antibody-based multiplexing, with the PhenoVue 512 nucleic acid stain removed and dye concentrations adjusted to support the PhenoVue Fluor 400LS antibody detection channel.
