Overview

SAM, s-adenosylmethinionine, is the cofactor of methyltransferases which needs to be introduced during the enzymatic step. This ultrapure SAM provides a way to increase the SAM concentration up to high Km levels required by the enzyme without the risk of introducing contaminating SAH that would biais the subsequent detection by the EPIgeneous Methyltransferase assay.
