50 µCi quantities of [2-14C]-Pyruvic Acid, Sodium Salt are available for your research. Application of [14C]Pyruvic Acid can be found in: sugar utilization by citrus juice cells as determined by labeled sugar feeding analyses, isopentenyl diphosphate as the terminal product of the deoxyxylulose-5-phosphate pathway for terpenoid biosynthesis in plants, pyruvate uptake being inhibited by valproic acid and metabolites in mitochondrial membranes, trans-10, cis-12 conjugated linoleic acid decreasing de novo lipid synthesis in human adipocytes, etc.
Special Information: If it is necessary to use the free acid form of this compound, only an appropriate amount should be converted to the free acid and the remainder stored as the solid sodium salt as recommended.
