DNA High Sensitivity Assay

The LabChip™ DNA High Sensitivity Assay is specifically designed for high-resolution quality control of DNA samples, particularly in next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows. This assay is optimized for the precise analysis of NGS library smears where accurate sizing and quantification are critical for downstream sequencing performance. The LabChip DNA High Sensitivity Assay can even be used to QC libraries generated from minimal amplification cycles.

It is also well-suited for applications involving low-input DNA, offering reliable quantification in the lower picogram per microliter (pg/µL) concentration range. This makes it an ideal solution for researchers working with limited or precious samples, such as those derived from single-cell sequencing, ancient DNA, or other limited samples.

The LabChip™ DNA High Sensitivity Assay can be used to analyze up to 960 samples.

Overview

Leveraging either the LabChip GX Touch™ Nucleic Acid Analyzer or the LabChip GXII Touch protein characterization system, this assay enables rapid, automated separation and quantification of DNA fragments, providing high sensitivity and reproducibility.

Assessing quality of prepared libraries

The LabChip DNA High Sensitivity Assay delivers smear profiles, allowing users to assess library integrity, detect adapter dimers, and evaluate the success of library preparation protocols. Its compatibility with high-throughput workflows and minimal sample consumption further enhances its utility in modern genomics laboratories.

While the LabChip High Sensitivity DNA assay is often used for library and sample quality control for NGS, it can also be used with PCR amplicon analysis, multiplex PCR amplicons, gene expression analysis by RT-PCR, restriction fragment analysis, and detection of targeted cleavage in gene editing studies.

The required LabChip consumables CLS138948 (LabChip GX Touch 24 system) or 760517 (LabChip GX Touch HT system and the LabChip GXII Touch system) are provided separately.
