Filtermat for radioactive filtration experiments.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
The EasyTab-C filtermat and OmniFilter filter holder work in combination to reduce sample preparation time and costs, while assuring proper positioning for detection and quantitation. These products are low cost and are very easy to use for cell proliferation assays. EasyTab-C filtermats are supplied with self-aligning tabs that contain holes for exact positioning of the filtermats in the Packard FilterMate™ cell harvester, or the Inotech Cell Harvesting System. After harvesting the sample DNA onto the EasyTab-C filtermats and then drying the filtermats, the tabs are removed by cutting along the perforation lines. The filtermats are then placed in the OmniFilter holders forming a perfect fit with proper orientation and alignment for accurate counting, because the filtermat can be placed in the holder only one way due to a beveled corner at the A1 position. MicroScint™ O scintillation cocktail (or sometimes MicroScint 20 for samples which are not completely dried) is then dispensed onto the filtermat (approximately 25 microliters per sample), and the sample plates are covered with TopSeal-A, and they are placed in the TopCount® microplate scintillation and luminescence counter for counting.
