These are pre-filled, reinforced polypropylene screw cap 2 mL tubes that contain a homogenizing mix of 1.4 mm and 2.8 mm ceramic beads (50 tubes).
They are a reliable multi-bead size mix for various applications, including homogenization and lysis of soft tissues, such as brain, liver, kidney, and cultured mammalian cells. RNase- and DNase-free certified, they are a popular consumable to feed into bead mill homogenization before analyte extraction.
