1 mCi quantities of Glucose, D-[3-3H]-, (Specific Activity: 10-20 Ci) in aqueous solution are available for your research. Glucose uptake experiments are commonly used to measure cellular metabolic activity and glucose transport. Glucose uptake can be studied using radiolabeled glucose itself, or radiolabeled glucose analogs such as 2-deoxy-D-glucose (DOG) or 3-O-methyl-D-glucose (OMG).
D-Glucose (non-analog) can be incorporated into lipids, which provides a measurement of glucose transport. It is a tracer that is metabolized by the cells.
