ATP, [γ-32P]- 6000Ci/mmol 150mCi/ml, 1 mCi

ATP, [γ-32P] is a radioactive version of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), where the gamma (γ) phosphate group is labeled with the phosphorus-32 (32P) isotope. Used as a tracer to track the movement and transfer of this high-energy phosphate group in biochemical reactions, this preparation is less pure than our other gamma-labeled ATP and is only recommended for use in labeling with T4 PNK.

Overview

1 mCi quantity of ATP, [γ-32P]- 6000Ci/mmol 150 mCi/ml, Adenosine triphosphate, labeled on the gamma phosphate group with 32P.

Although ATP, [γ-32P] serves as a tracer for monitoring high-energy phosphate group movement and transfer in biochemical reactions, due to its lower purity compared to our other gamma-labeled ATP products, it's specifically recommended only for T4 polynucleotide kinase (PNK) labeling applications.

Common applications include:

5' End labeling of DNA or RNA: Process of attaching a label to a phosphate group at the 5' end of a DNA or RNA strand for detection or downstream reactions.

Labeling with T4 PNK (polynucleotide kinase): Transfers a phosphate group from the gamma-phosphate of ATP to the 5'-hydroxyl group on a DNA or RNA molecule.

Kinase reactions: Biochemical reactions where T4 PNK transfers the gamma-phosphate of an ATP molecule to the 5' end of a polynucleotide.
