The field of medicine has seen significant advancements in recent decades, offering more effective treatments for diseases such as multiple myeloma through CAR T cell therapy. However, developing treatments for solid tumors remains challenging due to the complexity of the tumor microenvironment and the heterogeneity of solid tumors. To address these challenges, robust physiologically-relevant models and phenotypic-based screening methods are essential.
In this webinar, Dr. Fabien Vincent, a former laboratory head will outline strategies and practical processes for phenotypic screening. Additionally, Dr. Kelsey McCulley, Sr. Manager at Revvity, will demonstrate how to use an image cytometry platform to build 3D multicellular spheres and utilize this system to characterize PSMA CAR-T cell-mediated cytotoxicity against 3D prostate tumor spheroids. By employing phenotypic screening and 3D/organoid analysis systems, scientists can better mimic the in vivo environment and replicate physiological conditions, facilitating the discovery and development of therapeutic medicines.
