Overview

The Eonis™ SCID-SMA kit is designed for the semi-quantitative detection of TREC (T-cell receptor excision circles) and KREC (Kappa-deleting recombination excision circles), along with the qualitative detection of the exon 7 SMN1 gene and RPP30 (Ribonuclease P/MRP Subunit P30) gene. It analyzes DNA extracted from blood specimens dried on filter paper and is intended to aid in the screening of newborns for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), X-linked Agammaglobulinemia (XLA), and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
