Detection of fentanyl in bone samples using animal models

In this method development webinar, our speakers discuss the implementation of an alternative and quick method of extracting compounds such as opioids from bone samples. Dr. Cohen will describe the general utility of pre-clinical animal models for accelerating research and drug discovery & development (DDD) funnels and Dr. Alves shares her proof-of-concept study in forensic toxicology work in rabbits, analyzing chemical compounds in bones via mass spec to show the capacity of bone to be valuable chemical reservoir for fentanyl in cold cases.
